Another Cinderella Story Blu-ray Review

Another Cinderella Story Blu-ray Review
Written by Loys JohnsonVideo
Another Cinderella Story comes to Blu-ray with a 1080p VC-1 video transfer. The transfer is a mixed bag, as the film tends to have a soft look, but not always. Detail is actually quite good, and the picture tends to pop quite a bit. Colors go from good to fantastic depending on lighting. Black levels were very good, despite a few scenes in which I was less impressed. Another Cinderella Story doesn't look amazing, but it looks quite good, and was pleased with the transfer. 7/10.

Warner has decided to include a Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track, and while it sounds decent for the type of film, lossless audio would have been nice. To be honest, I couldn't imagine a lossless track being much of an improvement though for this genre of film. The musical numbers sound quite decent, although a little low-budget. Dialogue was nice and clear. Another Cinderella Story provides perfectly decent audio, just as expected. 7/10.

Blu-news Summary
Another Cinderella Story is a solid film, despite being direct-to-video. Selena Gomez is quite a talented young actress, and Drew Seeley provides a ton of talent to the film as well. The movie was made with tweens in mind, and while it may not be perfect, most tweens should enjoy this film very much, as it is definitely above average. The video presentation is not perfect, but certainly looks quite good, audio is decent as well. Extras will only appeal to fans of the film, but there are quite a few for the kids to enjoy. Another Cinderella Story is 'Recommended for Tweens.'
