Otis Uncut Blu-ray Review

Otis: Uncut Blu-ray Review
Written by Loys JohnsonVideo
Otis comes to Blu-ray with a 1080p VC-1 video presentation. The film is very low budget, and it shows. The transfer was quite soft, and lacked detail. There was also quite a bit of video noise, that felt annoying. It never felt DVD terrible, but as a Blu-ray presentation it just didn't impress.

Warner has provided an English Dolby TrueHD track, and while it does not sound great, I'm glad it was included. The audio was quite dull, with nothing ever impressing. Dialogue was quite clear, and never felt too quiet. The film's music managed to make a decent use of the surround speakers, but never really popped.

Blu-news Summary
Otis was a pretty dumb film, which was never scary or never funny, both of which it tried to do. The video presentation, as well as the audio presentations were both quite dull, and never managed to impress. There were no extras, which was surprising as the previous DVD release included a few. Overall I would suggest skipping the release, or just 'Give It A Rent.'

accurate ratings for the release Loys. Did you enjoy the film? I did in the sense it's the exact opposite of a traditional horror film.
