Kung Fu Panda Blu-ray Review

Kung Fu Panda Blu-ray Review
Written by Loys Johnson
Kung Fu Panda comes to Blu-ray with a 1080p AVC/MPEG-4 video presentation. Colors are fantastic, with the transfer being rich and vibrant, while black levels are always nice and deep. Detail is also very good, down to every inch of hair, I was very impressed by the amount of detail put into the film. Kung Fu Panda is very pleasing to the eyes, and definite demo material. 10/10.

The 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio track was quite impressive as well, with a very immersive presentation. Dialogue is always very clear, and the film's score made fantastic use of the surround speakers. The film's sound effects were very dynamic, and also made great use of the surround speakers. It was far more impressive than I had expected, and it definitely added a lot to the film. 9.5/10.

Blu-news Summary
Kung Fu Panda is a fun and entertaining family film, although it's definitely not amazing. The all-star cast is very impressive, and the film is very funny as well. The video presentation is perfect, and the audio packs a punch as well. Extras are quite packed, although the majority of extras will appeal more to children. Kung Fu Panda is 'Highly Recommended' as a demo-disc alone, but the film is also quite good.
