Tropic Thunder Blu-ray Review

Tropic Thunder: Director's Cut Blu-ray Review
Written by Loys JohnsonVideo
Tropic Thunder comes to Blu-ray with a 1080p AVC/MPEG-4 video presentation. The presentation is vibrant, detailed, and sharp from start to finish. Right from the start the colors are rich and pleasing. Black levels are always very deep and and impressive. Detail was also very strong, wrinkles and facial hair have never been so clear. I was very impressed overall. 9/10.

Audio:
A 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio track is the star of the show, and it sounds fantastic. This action comedy really comes to life with the lossless track, with a very immersive presentation. Dialogue is nice and clear, while the action scenes and wildlife expands to the surround speakers. The track is aggressive and impressive, and far better than I expected. 9/10.

Blu-news Summary
Tropic Thunder is one of my favorite comedies of the year. I think the cast is fantastic, and the chemistry between them all is fantastic. The humor isn't for everyone, as it does provide a lot of possibly offensive dialogue to some people, but it's all in good fun. The Blu-ray is a fantastic release, being top notch in every category. Stunning video, immersive audio, and a ton of extras as well! Tropic Thunder is 'Highly Recommended.'
