'I Will Find You, And I Will Kill You.'
Taken comes to Blu-ray with a 1080p AVC/MPEG-4 video presentation. The film brings the same gritty look as seen in theaters, and translates rather way to Blu-ray. It's not one of the best video presentations, but it's certainly the best it's going to look. Colors are rich, detail and textures are often sharp as can be. There is a thin layer of grain present throughout the presentation, but quite fitting. I was more than pleased with the presentation, and there's not much more to say than it's very good. 8/10.

FOX has included a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track that is sure to amaze viewers. The film's dialogue is clear despite the intense action scenes. I was also impressed by the clarity of the effects used, such as gunshots and passing vehicles. Small things can add so much to an audio experience, and this was one immersive track. The film's music was impressive in both content and quality, and the track will have you on the edge of your seat. 10/10.

Black Ops Field Manual (Picture-in-Picture) (Unrated version only)
This picture-in-picture track displays geographical location, while keeping a kill count and injured count on screen as you watch the film. It also tracks distance traveled, as well as a fact or two about the specific location in the film. Its a very neat and overall pointless feature, but fans should get a kick out of it.

Le Making Of (18:24) (SD)
A fairly short but entertaining making of. Behind-the-scenes footage is included, as well as cast interviews. It's definitely fun to see them film certain scenes in the film.

Avant Premiere (4:48) (SD)
Footage from the premiere of the film with cast and crew interviews, as well as audience reaction after the film.

Inside Action: Side By Side Comparisons (11:05) (HD)
Get a behind-the-scenes look at how certain scenes were accomplished, includes comparison with the final product. Fans should enjoy this.

Blu-news Summary
Taken is one of my favorite action thrillers of all time, yes it's often cheesy and far from realistic, but it's so fun you can't help but find something you enjoy about the film. Liam Neeson is fantastic, and really brings the action and suspense to the film. It's one I will be watching many many times.

The Blu-ray release is great, featuring very good video, demo audio, and a small but enjoyable selection of extras. Taken on Blu-ray is 'Highly Recommended.'
