Video
The Wrestler comes to Blu-ray with a 1080p AVC/MPEG-4 video presentation. The video presentation is just how I expected. The film is naturally grainy, so of course the Blu-ray presentation reflects that. I actually found the grain to be very fitting to the film, with the raw and gritty look. Colors were rich and vibrant, and black levels were always solid. There is very little reason to complain about the high-def presentation of The Wrestler. 8/10.

Audio
A 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track has been included, and I found it very impressive. The surround use is fantastic, it's used very effectively. Whether it be background noise, or something happening outside of the room in the scene. The surround use was also used in the energetic fight scenes, as the crowd cheers and yells. Dialogue is always clear, and the film's music sounded nice as well. This isn't demo material, but it gets the job done, and nicely too. 8.5/10.

Extras

Disc 1:

Within The Ring (42:42) (SD)
The best feature on the disc takes you behind-the-scenes of the film, and features interviews with the crew and cast. If you loved the film, you will definitely love this.

Wrestler Round Table (25:23) (SD)
Five professional wrestlers discuss their thoughts on the sport, and of course the film. Fans of wrestling should definitely enjoy it.

Bruce Springsteen - The Wrestler Music Video (3:59) (SD)
The music video for the film's song, can't say I'm a fan.

Disc 2:

Digital Copy (Compatible with iTunes and Windows Media)

Blu-news Summary
The Wrestler is such a fantastic film. It's not one of my favorites, but there is still so much to be loved. Mickey Rourke does a top notch job as Randy "The Ram" Robinson, and the amount of emotion and personality he put into the character is amazing. The story isn't exactly an inspirational story, but it is raw and emotional. Anyone with interest in the film should make it a priority.

The Blu-ray release is very nice, featuring a fitting video presentation, a great audio track, and a great featurette for fans of the film. A Digital Copy is also included, so you can take The Wrestler with you on the go. The Wrestler on Blu-ray is 'Highly Recommended.'
