"What the hell does everybody want with my Gran Torino?"
- Walt Kowalski
Gran Torino comes to Blu-ray with a 1080p VC-1 video presentation. The film has a muted look throughout, but it still benefits quite nicely from a high-definition transfer. The film looks sharp, and is filled with a good amount of detail. There is a thin layer of grain present throughout the film, and is both welcome and fitting. 8/10.

Warner has included a 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio track for Gran Torino. The film is fairly quiet, but the track provides a nice experience regardless. The track was quiet in all aspects, but once turned up a bit more than average it sounds just fine. Dialogue was front and center, clear as can be. The film's music is beautiful and gentle as it is presented through the front left and right speakers, gently expanding into the surround area. The gun effects used in the film open up the surround experience a bit more. This track will leave fans of the film pleased. 8/10.

The Eastwood Way (19:17) (HD)
This is by far the best featured included, it features cast and crew interviews as well as behind-the-scenes footage. This feature has to do more with the film and the character of Walt and others.

Manning The Wheel (9:23) (HD)
The cast and others talk about the car in the film, as well as their first cars and dream cars.

Gran Torino: More Than A Car (3:57) (HD)
Take a look at the Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit. A few of the car owners shared stories on when they got the car and more.

Blu-news Summary
Clint Eastwood has always been amazing whether it be in front of the camera or behind the camera, and this film is no different. Gran Torino is a fantastic and immersive film, with some pretty amazing performances. It's a film I will definitely be re-visiting many times.

The Blu-ray release is very good, featuring good video and pleasing audio. There are not many extras, but Warner has provided the best for the Blu-ray release. Gran Torino on Blu-ray is 'Highly Recommended.'
