Video
The Edge Of Love comes to Blu-ray with a 1080p AVC/MPEG-4 video presentation that is sure to please more than disappoint. The look of the film is quite impressive, and I found no technical errors with the Blu-ray presentation. There is a bit of noise present in the scenes at times, but it was not very intrusive. The color palette in the film varies with the locations used, but regardless of style the colors were always rich. Detail was quite nice as well, varying from good to amazing. 8/10.

Audio
The 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track track was much better than I had anticipated. Dialogue was clear as can be, while the film's effects and environment were brought through fantastically in the surround speakers. There's nothing worse than a lifeless audio track, but don't worry, The Edge Of Love is far from lifeless. It's not demo material audio, but it's definitely very nice. 8.5/10.

Extras

Audio Commentary
With Director John Maybury and Actor Matthew Rhys.

Looking Over "The Edge Of Love" (9:41) (SD)
The cast and crew discuss getting the film started, as well as the story and their characters.

Gag Reel (4:10) (SD)
I felt it was a bit odd to include a gag reel on a film like this, regardless it's one more feature for the release.

Theatrical Trailer (1:34) (SD)

Blu-news Summary
The Edge Of Love is a powerful performance filled film, but there are certain things in the film that made it a weaker experience. I absolutely loved the first half of the film, but towards the last half the quality dropped quite significantly. So much happened in the film that was left unresolved, which left of a lot of the build-up pointless. Regardless, there are still some good redeeming qualities that would make this a solid rental for those interested in the film.

The Blu-ray release is very good, featuring a nice video presentation and impressive audio track. Extras are minimal, but overall decent. The Edge Of Love on Blu-ray is 'Recommended' for fans, but to newcomers I would recommend that you 'Give It A Rent' first.
